Academic Tuition
Our foundational education prepares students for the wonders & challenges they’ll face in life. Our unique Primary School education is based on principles of academic excellence, rich cultural curriculum, spiritual values & character development. An annual Shakespeare Festival is a highlight for all with its core academic skills. Students are taught within a caring, supporting environment of trust & stay with their class teachers for 2-3 years for stability and connection. A daily vegetarian lunch is also provided.
Our focused teaching, proven methodology & effective delivery of NSW’s curriculum has consistently placed us among top-ranking primary schools in Australia. The success of our program is seen in the result of happy, motivated children who see themselves as part of a community.
Based on Steiner principles, we offer a nurturing environment to address the changing needs and capabilities of children at each stage of their development. Our curriculum and method of teaching enhances a deep and rounded learning.

Tutoring for High School English and Organisation
Ignite your child’s curiosity, build independence, and develop a love for lifelong learning at Forestville Montessori School (FMS).
FMS is an Independent School for children aged 0-12 years. Our students benefit from a unique education that combines Australian Government standards with holistic, child-centred learning.
We offer practical life and education programs from birth to grade 6, supporting children and their families every step of their learning journey.
We are located in Forestville, on a beautiful site featuring playgrounds for each age group, veggie patches, which our students tend as part of the curriculum, and animal enclosures for the school’s many pets.
At FMS, we value student wellbeing, environment, and curious exploration as much as we value academics!
And our academics shine…
Montessori academics are often hailed as some of the highest standards there are. It is not uncommon to see four-year-olds in our schools reading, six-year-olds completing long division, and nine-year-olds classifying botanical specimens. These tasks are completed joyfully, partly because we present information in such a way that children discover it for themselves rather than passively taking in facts given by an adult.
Yes, Montessori has a different approach to education, but it’s good, different!
We play to your child’s strengths, regardless of age or ability, without competitive pressure. We cultivate thinking outside the box, solutions-based problem solving, community connection and self-guided learning to build children’s confidence and expand their horizons.
We offer programs for toddler, pre-school and primary school education and are accordingly NESA & ACECQA registered.
Parent/ Toddler Program
The parent/toddler program is available from birth, giving you time and tools to work with your child in the Montessori environment. With the help of our guides and materials you’ll connect with your child and support practical learning and development from the earliest age.
Toddler Program
The FMS toddler program for 2–3-year-olds is a significant transition as children become more independent. Our toddler program allows your child to spread their wings, integrate with peers and explore world around them with the special curiosity so vibrant at this age.
Pre-school Program: 3-6 years
Our pre-school program for 3–6-year-olds develops independence, curiosity and hands-on learning. FMS preschoolers learn practical life skills alongside numeracy, literacy and social skills. At age 5, they begin their ‘kindy’ program for school readiness.
Primary Education: K-6
From K-6, FMS students grow these skills. They are encouraged to explore personal strengths and interests. Forestville Montessori primary school students work closely with teachers and peers to excel in academics and incorporate social and environmental education in day-to-day learning. We foster creativity, community, masterful academics and future thinking.
The FMS Difference
With 42 years providing an exemplary Montessori education, we encourage students to follow their curiosity and explore their capacity for knowledge. With qualified, passionate teachers and environments designed to inspire curiosity and a love for learning, Forestville Montessori School is a school like no other.
