The Northern Beaches Family Support Service works to promote health, safety and wellbeing for women and children providing a free service to families with children 12 years and under who provides support with helping parenting to develop parenting skills.

Northern Beaches Family Support ServiceThey provide:

-Practical skills groups

-Supported playgroups
-Parenting skills groups

Managing Sibling Relationships

Bickering and arguing between siblings are normal and a part of growing up!
But if sibling rivalry or peer arguments become excessive or destructive, parents must intervene.
This workshop discusses what constitutes sibling rivalry and why excessive sibling rivalry occurs.
It also provides steps for parents to help manage and reduce rivalry between their children.

Infant Massage: The first touch parenting program

A 5-week course to help enhance the loving relationship between you and your baby
The group provides an opportunity for you to develop an understanding of your baby’s unique body language, cues and signals.
Infant Massage enhances:
? Sleep, settling and soothing abilities
? Physical and motor development
? Confidence and self-esteem
? Empathy and other social skills
Infant Massage provides an opportunity to explore Circle of Security parenting concepts.

First Aid for Families

This is a 2-hour information and demonstration session. It is specifically designed and demonstrates the most important child-related first aid for families. It is a hands-on session where by families will learn skills and gain an understanding of how to manage child-related emergencies.
The session will be run by First Aid for You. Their trainers are qualified paramedics, nurses, medical specialists and are all experienced mums.

Emotion Coaching
