Come along and celebrate Australia Day at North Narrabeen with a bbq breakfast and lots of entertainment.


Newport BBQ Breakfast

Time: 8.00am – 12.00pm
Location: Bert Payne Reserve, Newport Beach

Come along and celebrate Australia Day at Newport Beach with a bbq breakfast and lots of entertainment.


Warringah Aquatic Centre Pool Party

Time: 9.00am – 12.00pm
Location: Warringah Aquatic Centre, Aquatic Drive, Frenchs Forest

Join the Australia Day Pool Party! There’s lots of pool games and prizes to be won. It’s a gold coin to participate in inflatable thong races or get a temporary Australia Day themed tattoo. There’s also waterproof face painting for only $5 or a mini design for $3. Bop Till you drop will be playing tunes from 9.00am – 12.00pm with lots of prizes to be won! 


Manly Andrew Boy Charlton Swim Centre Pool Party

Time: 9.00am – 12.00pm
Location: Manly Andrew Boy Charlton Aquatic Centre

Join the Australia Day Pool Party! There’s lots of pool games and prizes to be won. It’s a gold coin to participate in inflatable thong races or get a temporary Australia Day themed tattoo. Australia Day BBQ by the Bridge

Time: 10.00am – 4.00pm
Location: Bradfield Park, Alfred Street South, Milsons Point

Enjoy a free Australia Day party at BBQ by the Bridge with live music, food stalls and kids activities!

With delicious cuisines from around the world, amazing local bands and DJs, a jumping castle, face painting, circus activities and native wildlife displays, it’s an event not to be missed – you can even bring your doggie!

Bradfield Park is one of the most spectacular vantage points for the Sydney Harbour Australia Day festivities and a wonderful place to watch the Harbour Parade, Ferrython, Salute to Australia, Tug & Yacht Ballet, Tall Ships Race, and, of course, the 184th Australia Day Regatta.

BBQ by the Bridge is a family-friendly and smoke-free event presented by North Sydney Council.

Australia Day at Bicentennial Park

Time: 5.00pm – 9.00pm
Location: Bicentennial Park, Prince of Wales Drive, West Pymble

Taking place on 26 January, the event celebrates Australia’s heritage, history, and culture with live performances, animal encounters, amusement rides, and a Citizenship Ceremony to welcome new Australian Citizens.

The day is also marked by handing out the Local Citizen of the Year Awards to unsung heroes of the community.

Ferrython, Sydney Harbour

Time: 9.30am arrival for 9.45 boarding and 10am departure
Location: Barangaroo South, Barangaroo

Sydney Harbour hosts annual ocean extravaganza Ferrython, one of Australia’s most popular and iconic events. 

See our beloved ferries in this hugely popular Australia Day tradition, as they voyage from Barangaroo Wharf to Shark Island and then back to a glorious finish at the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Children’s Festival, Darling Harbour

Time: 10.00am – 3.00pm
Location: Tumbalong Park, Darling Harbour

Roll up for a day of family fun!

Throw a thong or chomp a watermelon in the True Blue Bush Games. Run away to the Circus Playground and test your skills. Jump around with the giant bouncing kangaroos.

After all the fun and games, indulge yourself with the great food and activities on offer at Darling Harbour.

Australia Day Live 2020

Time: 6.30pm – 9.30pm
Location: Circular Quay, Sydney

Join Australia Day’s breathtaking musical and maritime finale.

Watch some of Australia’s best artists perform on the Sydney Opera House Forecourt stage, accompanied by a cavalcade of performing jet-skis, fly-boarders and dancing yachts on the water at Circular Quay.

CARnivale Australia Day 2020

Time: 9:00am – 3:00pm
Location: O’Riordan St, Alexandria

Celebrate everything that makes this nation great at Parramatta’s massive all-day Australia Day party. Featuring the spectacular aerial hot-air balloon display, the Big Barbecue competition, the popular CARnivale vintage car display and plenty of kids activities, workshops and amusement rides.

Australia Day at Q Station

Time: 9:00am – 5:00pm
Location: Q Station, Manly

Join in for an action-packed Australia Day in the beautiful surrounds of the National Park at North Head. Q Station is celebrating all things Aussie – celebrations kick off at 9:00am on Sunday 26th January in the Wharf Precinct. Entry is a gold coin donation with all funds going directly to the RFS.
